About the camp
Wonderful Chinese Culture Summer Holiday Camp, organised by Mandarin Go - specialised in teaching children Chinese and culture, will hold a two weeks face to face summer camp in Cambridge. The theme of the camp will be based on a "Wonderful Chinese Culture Summer Holiday Camp''. The purpose of the camp is to enhance children's interest in Chinese culture, improve children's Chinese language expression, logical thinking, and creativity.

Theme Based Mandarin Lessons 主题中文课程
This course is designed to teach children words and phrases that can be used in a student’s daily life, experience and understand Chinese culture. Through lively and interesting content and activities, students can further learn and master Chinese. With different themes, it can help students improve their oral conversation skills, enhance students' interest in learning and self-confidence.
课程设计贴近学生的日常生活搭配中华文化的认识，透过生动有趣的内容和活动，让学生们进一步学习和掌握中文，配合不同的主题内容帮助学生增进口语会话能力，提升学生的学习兴趣与自信。
Fun Learn Chinese Characters 汉字故事与演变
Through vivid and interesting stories about Chinese characters, children will understand the origin and evolution of Chinese characters, as well as the close connection between Chinese characters and Chinese culture. Through the guidance of pictographs, children will learn about the evolution and origin of Chinese characters, cultivate students' basic abilities of listening, speaking, reading, and writing Chinese characters, and then learn more vocabulary through Chinese characters’ radicals and components, and practice sentence dialogue courses.
透过生动有趣的汉字故事，让孩子们了解汉字的起源和演变，以及汉字和中华文化之间的密切联系。透过象形文字的引导，认识汉字的演变与由来，培养学生听、说、读、写汉字的基础能力，进而透过汉字部首与部件延伸学习更多的词汇，练习句型对话课程。
Chinese Folk Activities and Games & Arts and Crafts 童玩古艺
Through activities such as traditional art painting, calligraphy and paper-cutting, students can feel the artistic beauty of Chinese culture and experience the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture. Students will also experience traditional cultural games and handicrafts, such as spinning top, shuttlecock, chess, rope skipping, etc., allowing students to feel the charm of Chinese culture, traditional children's play, and artistic creation. Cultivate their creative thinking and hands-on ability through practice.
透过传统艺术绘画、书法和剪纸等活动，让学生们感受到中华文化的艺术之美，并体验中华传统文化的独特魅力。学生们也将体验到传统文化的游戏和手工艺，例如陀螺、毽子、棋艺、跳绳等，让学生们感受中华文化、传统童玩、艺术创作的魅力。通过实践培养他们的创意思维和动手能力。
Maths and Logical Thinking 数学逻辑思维
Through various mathematical games and activities, students will learn mathematical concepts from life experiences, and understand mathematical concepts through situational and interactive learning methods, such as: counting, comparing length, height, thickness, order and quantity Comparing, shapes in life, classifying, knowing time, learning addition and subtraction and mental arithmetic exercises and other basic mathematical concepts through games, experiencing the fun of mathematics, and cultivating students' logical thinking and problem-solving skills at the same time.
透过各种数学游戏和活动，让学生们从生活中的经验学习数学概念，透过情境式的互动学习方式，认识数学观念，例如：数一数、比一比长短、高矮、厚薄、顺序与数量的比较、生活中的形状、分类、认识时间，透过游戏学习加法与减法及心算练习等基本数学观念的练习，体验数学的乐趣，同时培养学生们的逻辑思维和问题解决能力。
Mandarin Songs, Body Movement & Storytelling Time 诗词律动与绘本故事
Through the lively rhythm and rhyme, lead students to understand the artistic conception of poetry and ballads, cultivate students' sense of music, and arouse their interest in learning. The course will also be guided by picture book stories, carefully selected Chinese and English picture book stories, so that students can learn while reading and listening, and at the same time guide students to think, and better understand Chinese culture, build self-confidence and interest in learning.
透过活泼的律动和节奏，带领学生认识诗词歌谣的意境，培养学生的音乐感，引起学习兴趣。课程中也会透过绘本故事的引导，精心选择中英绘本故事，让学生们在阅读聆听中学习，同时引导学生们思考，并且更加认识中华文化，建立自信与学习兴趣。

Hello everyone, this is teacher Yuki. I am the founder of Mandarin Go. I have taught Mandarin in Singapore, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom. I founded Mandarin Go in 2018 with all my love. Hi everyone! This is teacher Rita. I major in the Department of Chinese as a Second Language. I have several experiences teaching Mandarin. I like to teach students by constructing situations and asking questions, rather than just give them answers. My favourite part is Chinese culture because I like to listen to and tell stories.
